About Winds of Change

Winds of Change magazine delivers. From appealing covers to engaging content, this award-winning publication has earned the attention of Indigenous STEM students and professionals for nearly four decades. Today Winds of Change connects with its unique readership five times annually through a strategic combination of three print and two digital-only issues. Each one consistently hits the mark with timely features, personal stories, and news of academic and career opportunities that reach every segment of the growing AISES family. Students from pre-college through post-doc, aspiring and mature professionals, retirees, and elders — as well as sponsors, partners, and friends — rely on Winds of Change as a multifaceted resource.

The Paths to Opportunities e-newsletters and website content, along with Winds of Change magazine, are key elements of a broader initiative aimed at promoting STEM diversity and inspiring individuals to pursue fulfilling careers in STEM fields. These components work together to reach a wide audience, including 18,000+ newsletter subscribers and 8,000+ members with the goal of encouraging Indigenous people to explore and thrive in STEM endeavors.

The AISES mission: AISES is a national nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing the representation of Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) studies and careers.
